My mom makes a similar rec...I love stuffed pumpkin! My mom makes a similar recipe. She got hers from a friend who is an elder of a Native American tribe. They use bison, which would be delish but my mom uses ground beef or turkey. My sister just told me the other day that she was talking to her boss about stuffed pumpkin and he said "That's wierd. Is pumpkin even edible?"
